Recommendation from Ms. Julia Fahey

To Whom it May Concern,

[the following is a response by Ms. Fahey after viewing the text located below this response]

Randy Larson has asked me to send you a quick message regarding his volunteer work with my organization, the Partners in Praise Girls Choir.
After reading his letter, I was amazed, I didn't realize all the work he has done for me. We are very lucky to have his expertise.
Randy takes his work very seriously and is always professional. Whether we are singing in a famous concert setting or in small groups on a street corner, Randy will find the most amazing angles which turn into great keepsakes for my singers.

If you have any questions please feel free to call me at [phone number will be furnished upon request.]

Kindly,

Julia Fahey
Artistic Director of Partners in Praise Girls Choir

[the following text was constructed in an effort to win the approval of the Anoka Halloween Committee in October of 2007]

Dear Bart Ward,

Julia Fahey has asked me to construct a letter to you and the Anoka Halloween Board, send it to her and she will give it her endorsement. Julia is the founder and Artistic Director of Partners in Praise Girls Choir of which my daughter has just entered her third year. Julia is also a very enthusiastic mentor and visionary. Julia, with help of travel agencies, has taken these girls on many exciting trips abroad. I had the opportunity to travel with the choir to Italy in the summer of 2007 and witnessed at every concert they performed, high praise from at least one of the audience members. She is one of the ‘greats’ and I highly respect her and her recommendations.

I hope I do this correctly – I don’t recall doing it before, so here goes.

I will now talk about what I have done to enhance the Partners in Praise experience.
Every parent is asked to volunteer a few hours of time to the choir. Of course I volunteered my photographic services. Beginning the first year I went about my photojournalistic ways. Starting with capturing images of the choir performing: The Star Spangled Banner at a Timberwolves game, in the Hollidazzle parade, a rehearsal, a Holiday Concert, the MN Music Educators Association event, the Partners in Praise Girls Choir Choral Festival, the annual Talent Show, the awards banquet and an appearance on KARE 11 television. If you add in the photos my daughter contributed on the tour to San Francisco – there are a total of 1065 photo images on Can Dad Camera’s web site which I encourage every- one to view. The link is http://www.candadcamera.com/gallery?g2_view=core.ShowItem&g2_itemId=23956
To date these 1065 images have been viewed 12,059 times. Oh, I forgot to mention one album…. After a closed concert early in the year I showed up to pick up my daughter and heard that they were trying to get a photograph of the group. I went in with my HP carry everywhere point-and-shoot camera and did my best with the on board flash and also without lighting. Julia used one of those photos as the official image for the choir. My updated images have been used ever since.

Then the 2006-2007 season rolled around. So far to date there have been 4,098 views of the pre-tour photos of which 668 are on the web site. The best is yet to come, however.

I mentioned that I traveled to Italy, of course with my HP (beat around) camera and my Nikon D-200 and limited equipment. I went crazy and shot 8300 photos. I worked hard having fun everyday while on vacation as an extra traveler. This was my first chance to be monetarily rewarded for my efforts. Many of the choir members pre-purchased a disk of images. However due to the number of images the price for one became a two for one, providing over 2100 large file photos on a two DVD set. The beautiful scenic Mediteranean, shop keepers, flower boxes, landscapes, people of the street etc will be appearing on my web site soon.

Also as a volunteer for the Center for Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment, I asked Julia and she agreed with much enthusiasm to have the choir perform at CCAPTs annual dinner/fundraiser.

Julia – You know I would volunteer in other areas, but the camera is always in the way.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve your organization – it is my pleasure.
